Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neurological case experience for a comprehensive stroke facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology department at a comprehensive stroke facility
• Primary focus on neurological and vascular interventional procedures
• Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, 5 days per week
• On-call coverage required
• Float to a nearby sister hospital may be necessary
• Uses Siemens imaging equipment and Cerner EMR
• Responsible for preparing procedure rooms, maintaining sterile technique, prepping patients, and assisting physicians during procedures
• Performs 3D imaging and manages imaging data using PACS and RIS systems
• Supplies and equipment must be maintained and restocked as needed
• Required to complete online modules and pass testing prior to starting assignment
• May participate in training new staff and students within the division
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Internal rules dictate that any time off requests (RTO) must be discussed with management if submitted after assignment offer
• Allow 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results prior to start

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in interventional radiology with neurological case exposure
• Active MI license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Must be registered with ARRT, with advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional (CI), Vascular-Interventional (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ongoing continued medical education hours required
