Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) and Maryland license for a day shift at a busy IR department.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology department specializing in advanced vascular and non-vascular procedures
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call is required as part of the regular schedule
• Patient caseload includes angioplasty, IVC filter procedures, and special procedures using Siemens equipment
• Charting is completed in Cerner EMR
• Advanced skills such as aortography, chemoembolization, paracentesis, stent and endograft placement, and central venous access are preferred
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Team practices strict sterile techniques and works collaboratively during procedures
• Modules must be completed prior to start and during orientation as required
• Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a local rate
• Previous employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Current ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT VI preferred
• Maryland state license required (license required if applicable)
• Experience with special procedures including angioplasty, IVC filter placement/removal, fluoroscopy, and prep/scrub using sterile technique
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• Two supervisor references required
