Position: Rad Tech – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Kenner, LA
Start Date: 09/02/2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
End Date: 12/02/2025
Shift: 8-hour day shift + On Call
Setting: Inpatient – Cardiac Cath Lab

This Cath Lab Technologist position supports a fast-paced cardiac procedural team. The role requires both circulating and scrubbing responsibilities for interventional cardiac procedures. Candidates must have prior Cath Lab experience and be able to operate diagnostic fluoroscopy equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with procedure documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms, equipment, and patients for cardiac cath procedures
• Circulate and scrub during interventional procedures as needed
• Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images
• Monitor hemodynamic data and assist physicians during procedures
• Accurately document interventions and assist with charge capture
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and monitor dosage exposure
• Participate in on-call rotation (weekdays, weekends, holidays)

 Requirements

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
• ARRT Registration + Louisiana Radiologic Technologist License – Required
• BLS + ACLS (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 2 years of allied health experience – Required
• Prior Cath Lab experience – Required
• Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating
• Knowledge of PACS and cardiac imaging protocols

Additional Information Shift: 7:30am–4:00pm with on-call requirement Physical Demand: Medium work; regular exposure to bodily fluids and communicable disease Must be detail-oriented and able to function effectively in high-stress procedural environments
