Schedule

PM 4-10 hour shifts with rotating days off based on departmental needs. On-call every 4th weekend from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM, with one day of weekday call from 5 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases. You will work alongside specialists in a fast-paced clinical environment, providing critical support and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional cases, scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralists.
• Operate floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines effectively.
• Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedures.
• Employ critical thinking skills during neuro-interventional cases and other complex procedures.
• Manage the power injection of iodinated contrast media during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention measures while setting up procedural trays.
• Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
• Document procedures in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACS system.
• Manage groin sites post-intervention.
• Demonstrate ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardio-Vascular Technologist.
• Current NJ radiographic licensure.
• BLS certification from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited program with skill demonstration.
• Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.
