About The Position
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT required (ARRT advanced preferred), Fluoro Permit preferred Must-Have: - X-ray experience required - Cardiac Stent Placement experience required - G-tube placement, central line, and chemotherapy experience required - PACS experience required - Community Hospital and Outpatient experience required - ER and Trauma Level I experience required Description: This position is for an Interventional Radiology Tech. These techs must have intimate knowledge of procedures such as G-tube placement, central line insertion, and chemotherapy administration. The IR/INR labs require the techs to be licensed Radiologic Technologists. Weekend call will start on the first week and occur every other weekend afterward. On-call duties include buddy call with the manager during the initial orientation and then with the other full-time staff. Call commitment is approximately one-third of the month, translating to 10-14 shifts monthly. Weekday call starts at the end of the workday, generally by 5:45 PM, until the following morning. Weekend responsibilities may require working on Saturdays with Sunday being on-call only. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs may be required. Flu vaccine is mandatory, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons. Candidates must not have any educational background from specified institutions as outlined in the policy. Travel pairs will be considered if approved by the unit leader, but the same schedule is not guaranteed. Modules for orientation and annual training will be required but are non-billable.
