Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Illinois requiring IL RN licensure, critical care experience, and cardiac intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Cares for cardiovascular patients requiring interventional procedures
• Day shift schedule with on-call rotation
• On-call required: 2 nights per week and 6 weekends during 13-week assignment
• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Performs comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and documentation per hospital standards
• Provides patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Participates in department performance improvement and shared governance
• Holiday and weekend on-call coverage required

Requirements

• Active and current IL RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 3 years RN experience with at least 1 year in critical care
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Must successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation
