Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home health experience and a current NC PT license for a home health position.

Responsibilities

• Home health care setting with travel required across multiple cities in the region
• Average of 6 patient visits per day with a weekly expectation of 30 visit equivalents
• Typical driving distance is 60-80 miles per day with weekly mileage reimbursement
• Schedule is weekdays only with no weekend, call, or major holiday requirements
• Documentation systems include HCHB (Homecare Homebase), Epic Rover (view only), and Focura for discharge instructions and wound documentation
• Galaxy Note 9 phones provided for documentation and communication
• Rotation cycle is every 13 weeks
• Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the assignment location
• Responsible for scheduling patient visits one day in advance
• Cancelled appointments do not count toward weekly visit equivalents
• Support structure includes departmental leadership, scheduler, clinical manager, clinical supervisor, and clinical peers
• Orientation includes 5 days of facility and unit training
• Team-oriented department culture with both in-person and occasional virtual meetings
• Grey scrubs required for this position
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in home health
• Time off requests require manager approval

Requirements

• Active NC Physical Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health PT experience required
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required
• Experience in evaluation, reassessment, discharge planning, and supervision of PTAs
• Ability to use HCHB, Epic Rover, and Focura preferred
