Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor and Delivery position in a unit with a Level 3 NICU and circulating responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit with an average of 2100 deliveries per year
• Level 3 NICU located in the facility
• Must circulate for c-sections
• No laborists or hospital-owned providers; OB and family practice providers are private
• Night shifts, 4x12 hours (7:00 pm - 7:30 am)
• Floating required within Maternity and Mother-Baby units
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR system used; Epic experience required
• No on-call requirements
• Primary responsibilities include managing high-risk deliveries and circulating for c-sections
• Unit orientation consists of 24 hours: one day for online learning, two days for on-unit orientation
• Any color scrubs are permitted
• References are required, and a second reference may be pending at start
• No more than 5 requested days off permitted per 13-week contract
• Drug screening must be completed within 14 days prior to start
• Travelers with planned trips prior to start must be able to complete drug screening within the required timeframe

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Must have circulating experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Must complete an EKG test upon arrival
• Travelers who have worked for any Solution Health facility at any time are not eligible
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are accepted but will be paid at a reduced rate
