Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist for night shifts requiring ARDMS and current Illinois license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based general ultrasound department
• Night shift with 5x8 hour shifts from 22:30 to 7:00
• Weekend shifts are required
• No on-call is required
• Travelers may rarely be floated to other facilities within the health system if requested by management
• Modules are completed during orientation and must be done during scheduled shifts
• All requested time off must be included at submission for consideration
• Medical and religious vaccine accommodation requests require facility-specific submission and documentation
• Travelers must be prepared to complete mandatory fingerprinting in Illinois prior to start if not listed as 'Eligible' in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry
• A 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are accepted at a local rate
• Applicants with prior work history at the health system or acquired facilities must disclose this information
• Dress code and scrub requirements follow hospital policy

Requirements

• Current ARDMS certification is required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required
• Minimum of 1 year direct experience as an ultrasound technologist
• Illinois license must be obtained prior to consideration; license required if applicable
• 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent is required
• Must provide two references, including one from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge RN within the last year
