Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Belleville, IL 62226 (Greater St. Louis area)
Position: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
Unit: Telemetry (4 South)
Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Start Date: November 3, 2025
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Charting System: EPIC
Scrub Color: Navy
Parking: Free on-site
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1960–$2010 per week

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and valid Illinois RN license (required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
Experience with cardiac drips (including titration), STEMI/Non-STEMI, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
Willingness to float to other units within Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh
Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from facility
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
First-time travel nurses welcome

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult telemetry patients, including those with CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-cardiac procedures
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer and titrate cardiac drips as required
Assist with bedside procedures such as line insertion and thoracentesis
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, and rapid response
Float to other telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed to support hospital staffing needs
Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
Provide compassionate end-of-life and hospice care when needed
