ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – NH or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills
Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
Dependable, punctual, and committed to high-quality patient care
Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical protocols

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered care in a 25-bed Emergency Department, including psychiatric and hallway beds
Perform and assist with trauma, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, ultrasound-guided IV and IO insertions, eye exams, EKGs, psychiatric and cardiopulmonary care
Operate advanced medical equipment: Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, Pyxis
Document patient care using Sunrise/Allscripts EMR system
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (RNs, ED Techs, providers)
Adhere to department protocols and hospital policies to ensure safe, effective care
Participate in every other weekend rotation as part of the nursing schedule
