**Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse**

**Shift:** 10:45 AM - 11:15 PM

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Department (ED) setting, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
- Utilize advanced skills in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, managing a diverse patient population.
- Perform and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (Cerner).
- Maintain a commitment to patient experience, implementing AIDET principles and promoting respectful behavior towards all patients and their families.
- Participate in team activities, providing guidance and support to nursing staff and promoting a positive working environment.

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least one year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits annually is preferred.
- Possess strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
- Flexibility to work across various sections of the Emergency Department as needed.
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS) must be obtained prior to your start date; ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire.

**Unit Specifics:**

- Typical patient ratios: 4:1, up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds.
- Unit staffing includes techs and unit clerks for support on both day and night shifts.
- The department prides itself on teamwork and community involvement, serving a diverse population with over 120 languages spoken in the area.

**Dress Code:** Navy scrubs
