**Job Title:** Emergency Room Nurse

**Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

**Location:** Asheville, NC

**Job Description:**

Join our dedicated team in providing exceptional patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department (ED) setting. We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Nurse with at least 2 years of nursing experience and a minimum of 1 year in an emergency setting. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team that values collaboration, support, and patient-centered care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Deliver nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department with a focus on trauma, stroke, and urgent medical conditions.
- Utilize advanced nursing skills while following established protocols and procedures.
- Triage patients and assess their needs to prioritize care effectively, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback to staff to enhance patient care quality.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Cerner system.
- Adhere to hospital-specific policies and practices, including safety and infection control guidelines.

**Qualifications:**

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Previous experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
- Strong teamwork mentality and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Must be flexible and willing to float to different sections within the ED as necessary.

**Certifications Required (to be completed before hire):**

- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- NIHSS
- ENPC (within 90 days of hire)

**Work Environment:**

- Typical patient ratio of 4:1, medical, with up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds.
- 101-bed capacity in the Emergency Department, with support from techs and clerks.

**Dress Code:**

- Navy scrubs (required uniform)
