Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team at a leading healthcare facility. With a commitment to providing exceptional care, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring safety and comfort for patients.
• Perform triage assessments and manage patient flow within the department.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills and equipment including cardiac monitoring and various medical devices.
• Actively engage in patient education and support for families and caretakers.
• Maintain accurate medical records using the Cerner documentation system.

Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume emergency department preferred.
• Must possess current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Strong teamwork mentality and the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to colleagues.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department.

Unit Specifics

• 101 patient beds with typical ratios of 4:1, and up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds.
• Support staff available including unit clerks and techs focused on cardiac monitoring and triage.
• Commitment to best practices and patient experience through AIDET and respectful behavior.
