Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I trauma and advanced life support certifications for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 trauma, Stroke, and STEMI hospital
• Night shifts are 3x12 hours from 18:00 to 6:00
• Required to cover 50% of holidays and every other weekend
• Floating required between the Emergency Department and ED Observation
• Will not float to the associated Psych Center
• Pediatric Emergency Department is located within the main ED
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment with a mix of adult and pediatric patients
• All travelers must float as needed throughout the facility, including as a Patient Observer (sitter)
• Annual and orientation education modules are required and completed onsite
• Locals are accepted but must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• First-time travelers with Level I trauma experience are welcome to apply
• Two professional references from a charge nurse or above are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications are required
• CPI Blue Card preferred; can obtain onsite if not already held
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department
• Level I trauma experience required, especially for first-time travelers
