Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with 3+ years acute care experience and ARDMS certification for a variable shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital imaging department
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in general, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular imaging
• Conduct adult, pediatric, and neonatal exams including abdomen, pelvis, breast, thyroid, scrotum, vascular studies, and neonatal head
• Procedures include biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and intraoperative imaging
• Utilize Canon i700 ultrasound equipment, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Variable 40-hour week shifts with call as assigned
• Floating to other units or departments as required
• Must be able to independently perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound exams and procedures, including advanced procedures such as aspirations and biopsies
• All travelers are required to report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the assignment start date
• Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before starting to complete Employee Health requirements
• Dress code is personal scrubs or professional healthcare attire

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an ultrasonographer in an acute hospital setting
• Active ARDMS credentials in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Competency across abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal, superficial, and vascular sonography
• License required if applicable
