Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with ARRT-R and BLS certifications for a 3x12 hour evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based diagnostic radiology department
• Responsibilities include all aspects of diagnostic imaging, including surgery and trauma cases as required
• Patient population may include both adult and pediatric cases depending on departmental need
• Shift schedule is three 12-hour mid/evening shifts per week from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Weekend shifts are required
• No on-call coverage required
• May be required to float to additional locations within a 60-mile radius per facility policy
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology imaging and procedures, ensuring safe radiation practices
• Provide patient care including exam preparation, positioning, and instruction
• May assist with IV starts and contrast administration
• Acts as a resource to students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel
• Responsible for technical operation, maintenance, and documentation of radiology equipment
• Must maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow ALARA principles for radiation safety
• Active participation in ongoing education is expected
• Flu vaccination is required annually from November 1 to March 31; medical exemptions considered only with physician documentation
• No local travelers within a 60-mile radius are accepted

Requirements

• Current ARRT-R certification is required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association is required
• Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Experience with surgery and trauma radiology is preferred
• Must have an active license; no pending licensure accepted
• License required if applicable
