Job Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist – Day Shift (13-Week Contract) 

Location: Newark, NJ 

Start Date: November 17, 2025 

Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:30)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Newark, NJ. This role primarily supports the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and includes floating to the Main OR when CVOR volume is low. Candidates must be prepared to work two of the three major holidays during the contract period.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years of surgical technologist experience
• Scrub experience required
• Transplant experience preferred (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney)
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Required Clinical Experience:

• Cardiovascular procedures: valve replacement, coronary artery bypass, TAVR, dissection, VATS
• Hybrid room and endovascular procedures: Endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, fem-pop bypass
• General OR cases: general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, GYN, robotic, orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, pediatric surgery

On-Call Requirements:

• Two weekday shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• One weekend per month with 24-hour on-call coverage (Saturday and Sunday)
