Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a qualified CT Technologist with dual ARRT registrations and at least 2 years of experience for night shifts in a multimodality role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a teaching hospital setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation
• Responsible for both CT and X-ray imaging in an emergency department environment
• Night shifts, 3x12s, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM with every 3rd weekend required
• Possible floating to similar units within clinical scope
• Patient population includes emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic cases
• Uses Siemens imaging equipment and Epic for charting
• No on-call required
• Must be able to explain procedures to patients and ensure competency in procedures performed
• Expected to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Teal blue top and black bottoms required for scrubs
• RTO must be submitted up front; approval based on department need
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Previous staff must be separated from the system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered at a lower rate
• General orientation modules must be completed pre-start

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in both CT and X-ray modalities
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Emergency, trauma, pediatric, and orthopedic imaging experience highly preferred
• Epic and PACS system experience preferred
• Radiation badge must be provided by the candidate's agency
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers are not accepted
