Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification, 2 years of experience, and proficiency in high-complexity scans at a Level 1 trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a short-term acute care hospital with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Work in CT department handling abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction procedures
• Level 1 trauma center managing high acuity and complex cases
• Uses all Siemens CT scanners
• Night shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital may be required to meet facility needs
• EPIC used for charting; experience preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must comply with fit testing requirements, which may include shaving facial hair for proper mask fit
• Scrub colors allowed are black, red, or white
• Must not request more than 7 days off during the 13-week contract; no time off allowed during the first week
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may stay for up to 12 months, followed by a 6-month break in service
• Parking passes are available through Public Safety
• No medical marijuana cards accepted

Requirements

• Valid ARRT (CT) certification required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent CT technologist experience
• BLS required
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient CT required
• Experience in Level 1 trauma or large hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency with PACS and administering contrast is required
• Experience with IV starts, portables, and biopsies preferred
• Ability to perform advanced CT procedures such as aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, and myelography preferred
• Valid state license required if applicable
• No local candidates within 75 miles
