Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 18 months of experience and current ARRT (CT) and BLS certification for a night shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a community hospital setting with inpatient, ER, and adult ICU populations
• Wide variety of cases including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, and CTAs
• Work schedule is night shift (5x8 hours, 21:30-06:00)
• Caseload averages 160 cases daily
• Procedures involve use of PACS, performing contrast studies, and multiplanar reconstruction
• All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department cases are included
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must be able to float between units and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Applicants must work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays during the contract
• Returning employees must have a 12-month gap before reapplying as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for allied positions in accordance with facility policy
• RTO policy allows for up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off without additional approval
• Travelers' university must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at graduation

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent CT technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (CT) certification and BLS required
• Experience in inpatient, ER, adult ICU, and use of PACS systems is necessary
• Must be experienced with contrast administration and various body region scans
• Cerner EMR experience required
• License required if applicable and must be in hand prior to start date
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
