Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a day shift assignment requiring ARRT and BLS certification with at least one year of CT experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital radiology department specializing in CT scan procedures
• Schedule is four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• Must be able to float to any CommonSpirit location within a 60-mile radius as part of the float zone policy
• Uses Epic EMR system; prior experience is preferred
• Patient population includes adults requiring diagnostic CT imaging
• Perform diagnostic CT procedures following radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Administer IV contrast as appropriate and assist with patient pre-examination preparation and positioning
• Maintain equipment, perform required quality checks, and document all procedures accurately
• Support clinical training for students or staff technologists as assigned
• Participate in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives
• Flu shot required during flu season; only medical exemptions considered
• No local candidates allowed—must live more than 60 miles from assignment location
• Scrub attire is required per hospital policy
• Travelers cannot return to a new assignment for 30-60 days after completing a one-year assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience as a CT Technologist
• Active ARRT (R) with CT credential, ARRT (CT), ARRT (N), ARRT (T) or CNMT registry, or applicable state CT registry required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an ASATT-approved program preferred
• ACLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) preferred
• Must be willing and able to float within assigned float zone as needed
• Active license required if applicable
