Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist proficient with Siemens equipment and current ARRT (CT) credentials to join a busy computed tomography department.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a computed tomography unit within a hospital setting
• Work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Role involves conducting CT procedures for adult and pediatric patients
• Use of Siemens CT scanners is required
• Responsibilities include multi-planar and 3D image reconstruction and contrast administration
• Images are managed using PACS and Epic EMR systems
• Duties include performing CT procedures, manipulating and analyzing images, and managing image transfers
• Patient safety, identification verification, and documentation are critical responsibilities
• Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace is expected
• May precept new employees and students as needed
• Must adhere to departmental protocols for contrast eligibility and documentation
• Reporting to the lab for required drug screening within 24 hours of assignment is mandatory
• Expectation to volunteer for challenging tasks and maintain workflow efficiency

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiological Science
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or registry eligible, with advanced CT certification
• Current HCP BLS certification required
• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• Must be able to establish IV lines and administer oral and IV contrast following protocols
• Demonstrated ability to maintain competency and continuing education annually
• License required if applicable
