Job Summary
The CT/X-ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in both CT and X-ray, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging for urgent care and ER patients. This role requires adaptability, as technologists will cover both modalities during the same shift, while maintaining patient safety and effective communication with providers.

Responsibilities

Perform CT and X-ray studies including Code Strokes, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and 3D reconstructions
Assist with ER and urgent care patients, including some pediatric cases
Start IVs, administer contrast when necessary, and ensure proper patient preparation
Collaborate with fellow technologists to complete studies efficiently, especially during overnight shifts
Document procedures accurately in Epic and maintain PACS records (McKesson)
Maintain proper radiation safety standards and follow department protocols
Provide patient transport to the CT suite when needed
Participate in call rotation and respond within 30 minutes when on backup call

Requirements

ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
BLS certification
Minimum 5 years of imaging experience (travel experience required; no first-time travelers)
Must have: Experience with Epic, IV starts, and stroke/CVA patients
Preferred: Experience with Siemens equipment
Strong ability to manage both CT and X-ray workload during the same shift

Schedule & Duration

Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
2 staff on for most of the shift; 3 staff during overlapping hours
Weekend and holiday rotations required
Call rotation required; 30-minute response time
