Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring night shifts and strong ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool covering Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, and CVICU units
• Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float to various ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity; may float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Shift flexibility required to meet unit needs
• Provide high-level patient care across multiple ICU specialties as part of a flexible float pool
• Prompt completion of Ohio fingerprinting process is required upon contract signing
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Current employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments at these locations
• Team structure varies by unit but includes collaboration with diverse critical care professionals

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management is required
• Degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, or director
• Former employees are eligible if away from the facility for at least 6 months
