Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8-Hour Days | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,250 (based on experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract with one of our trusted healthcare partners in Hendersonville, North Carolina . This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong endoscopy and sterile processing experience to join a dedicated surgical team in a respected facility.
Position Overview:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed. The ideal candidate will have extensive endoscopy experience, a strong understanding of infection control standards, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Decontaminate, clean, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and endoscopic equipment.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, biological testing, and inventory control.
Assemble and prepare instrument trays according to surgical schedules and surgeon preferences.
Ensure all sterilization equipment operates safely and effectively, performing quality assurance checks as required.
Follow infection prevention protocols and adhere to all hospital safety policies.
Collaborate with the operating room and other departments to ensure timely instrument availability.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize critical thinking and attention to detail to identify and resolve equipment or instrument issues.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician
- At least 1 successful travel assignment completed
Preferred:
- Knowledge of current infection control and sterilization standards
- Familiarity with surgical instruments used in endoscopy and general surgery

Schedule & Work Environment:

8-hour day shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
No weekends, holidays, floating, or on-call requirements
