Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location: Ketchikan, AK
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 5x7.5-Hour (07:00 - 16:30)

Job Responsibilities:

Assist surgical team in operative procedures including general surgery, orthopedic, gynecology, ENT, urology, and endoscopic cases.
Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment.
Maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper handling of instruments during procedures.
Support surgeons during operations with necessary instruments and supplies.
Participate in on-call rotation (every 3rd or 4th night and weekend).
Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team in a critical access facility.

Required Skills & Experience:

Active CST certification
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent OR Tech experience
Proficiency in the following procedures:
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, bowel resection
- Ortho: Total joints, spinal fusions, arthroscopies
- Gynecology: C-sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures
- ENT: Tonsillectomy, sinus surgeries, tracheostomy
- Urology: Cystoscopy, nephrectomy, TURP
- Endoscopic Procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement
Willingness to take call and cover occasional weekends
EPIC charting experience preferred
Experience in a critical access or Level IV trauma facility preferred
