Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in hemodynamic monitoring and interventional cardiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a cath lab supporting both inpatient and outpatient cases
• Patient population includes adults requiring pacemakers, EP ablations, and other cardiac interventions
• Required procedures include pacemakers, STEMI interventions, IV starts, phlebotomy, rotablader procedures, coil embolizations, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Schedules include either four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or five 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional 8:00 AM starts)
• Assigned to late team rotation once per week as needed
• On-call required: one night per week and every fourth weekend
• Floating may be assigned to Interventional Radiology or to affiliated hospitals based on census
• Cerner is the charting system; Cerner experience is required
• Primary responsibilities include monitoring and assisting with cardiac procedures, device implantation, and responding to cardiac events
• Scrubs in light blue are provided by the facility
• Return staff are eligible only if separated from the facility for 3 or more years
• RTO up to 10 days allowed; must work at least one major holiday if RTO falls during the holiday period
• Pre-employment modules (3-8 hours) must be completed within a week of signing
• Professional conduct is strictly enforced and contract may be terminated for unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs
• First-time travelers are accepted but preference given to those with 1-2 years of travel experience

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab or interventional radiology experience required
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and special procedures such as STEMI care, EP ablations, pacemaker implants, IV starts, and phlebotomy
• Valid state license required and must be active by start; pending license accepted if applicable
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
