About The Position
Title: RN Cath Lab - Contract
Location: : Lafayette, CA
Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab RN to join our cardiovascular team. The Cath Lab Nurse plays a critical role in supporting physicians during cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures. This role involves patient preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedural care to ensure the highest level of patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of CA.
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN required; Cath Lab experience strongly preferred .

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including assessment, IV insertion, and medication administration.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions.
• Monitor patient status continuously during procedures and respond to any changes in condition.
• Administer conscious sedation and other medications as directed.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Educate patients and families regarding pre/post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain and operate specialized equipment in the Cath Lab.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless and quality care delivery.
• Participate in emergency response procedures (e.g., STEMI, code situations) as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.
