Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ACLS/BLS, and Siemens MRI skills for a 13-week day shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in an MRI department on a 3x12 day shift schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Utilizes Siemens MRI systems and Cerner EMR
• Handles MRI procedures including cardiac MRI
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Orientation is every other Thursday and includes completion of mandatory modules prior to start
• Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility for eligibility; those between 75 to 100 miles considered case by case
• Former perm employees not eligible for travel positions until 2 years after last permanent employment at facility
• Current employees at Vandalia Health System facilities are not eligible
• Professional, logo-free attire is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year current MRI Technologist experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; must be American Heart Association if certification is required by the unit
• Active state license required if applicable; pending WV or compact license acceptable for consideration
• IV start competency required
• Experience with Siemens MRI systems required, cardiac MRI experience preferred
• No prior probationary actions on license, or will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Two manager or charge references from within the past 2 years required
