Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and current ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a Level I Trauma teaching facility.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma designation
• Primary assignment is in the Cath Lab, with float requirement to outpatient cath lab procedures and potentially affiliate hospitals
• Adult cardiac patient population with both standard and specialized procedures
• Procedures may include electrophysiology (EP) and structural heart interventions
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required, with 18 days of call in an 8 week period
• Weekend work required as needed
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting; experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All staff are expected to meet healthcare quality and patient safety standards
• Return travelers must have not worked at the facility within the past 12 months, and require rehire approval
• No RTO allowed during the first week due to orientation
• Up to 5 days RTO may be considered if it does not coincide with holidays; facility approval needed for additional time off
• Must be willing to float to other units or affiliate hospitals based on skill set and census
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Free parking is available
• Modules are completed during orientation
• Candidates who previously cancelled a contract within 10 days of start at this healthcare system are not eligible

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
• Current ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Skills in EP, structural heart, MacLab, and Xper preferred
• Two professional references required prior to start, including one from the most recent employer within one year
