Transactional Auditor

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to join a newly established team. This position plays a critical role in overseeing financial compliance and accuracy across client contracts, ensuring transactions are properly executed and remittances are in line with agreed terms.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial transactions tied to specific contracts, confirming adherence to agreed terms.
• Validate that risks are ceded appropriately in accordance with contract language.
• Confirm all premiums, including adjustments, have been accurately billed and collected.
• Partner with the claims team to ensure claim billings are substantiated and precise.
• Develop and implement an audit framework across the client portfolio, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
• Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients and brokers.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to address complex or disputed reinsurance matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial audit experience, preferably within reinsurance.
• Strong background in auditing reinsurance or complex financial transactions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to enhance processes and controls.
