Training Consultant

LHH is partnering with company in looking to bring on an experienced and forward-thinking Training Consultant to lead a comprehensive redesign of current training programs. This individual will be instrumental in our approach to learning and development, incorporating adult learning principles and innovative delivery methods. In addition to revamping training content, the consultant will coach and mentor our team of trainers to ensure consistent, engaging, and impactful training across the organization. Pay will range from $35–$48/hr (based on experience). This position will require 5 days a week onsite in Linthicum, MD.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of current training programs, materials, and delivery methods.
• Redesign and implement training strategies rooted in adult learning theory and engagement best practices.
• Coach, mentor, and upskill internal trainers to align with new training standards and elevate their facilitation capabilities.
• Partner with HR and department leaders to identify training needs and track program success.
• Leverage modern tools and techniques—such as microlearning, interactivity, and digital platforms—to boost retention and learner engagement.
• Facilitate training sessions, monitor learner progress, and continuously improve based on feedback and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Training Consultant, Corporate Trainer, or in a similar L&D role.
• Deep understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, and training evaluation.
• Demonstrated success delivering “train-the-trainer” programs and mentoring instructional staff.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Organizational Development, or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, MD.
