Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Front End Developer in Reston, VA, to build data-driven dashboard applications for a government client. The role is primarily front-end focused (70-95%) using JavaScript and Vue.js, with some backend work in Node.js and/or Python. Candidates should have strong testing experience with tools like Jest or VueTest, and familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including GitLab pipelines, SonarQube, and Twistlock.

Compensation:

$70.52/hr to $74.52/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred)

• 5+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years of experience developing web applications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (if no degree, at least 7 years of overall IT experience)

• Strong frontend JavaScript development experience using one of the following frameworks: Angular, React, or Vue.js (preferred) *Note this individual must be willing and open to learning Vue.js (current framework being used in the environment)

• Strong unit and E2E testing experience using tools such as Jest, PITest, VueTest, and SonarQube or Twistlock for containers

• Familiarity with GitLab runners, CI/CD pipelines, and container security - DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification

• Backend development experience (highly preferred experience) with either JavaScript (Node.js preferred) or Python programming languages

• ArcGIS SDK experience

• Proven experience building APIs

• Previous Data visualization experience or a data science background

• UX/UI design experience

• Backend development experience with multi-server synchronization for real-time applications (e.g., multiplayer game-style architectures)

• Geospatial web application development experience
