Experience:

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience within the past 4 years.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience

Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months.

Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (2 max attempts), within 48 hours of offer. If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions

Required Credentials:

Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Types of Patients on Unit:

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Tele B3A - Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.

Tele Neuro - Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.

Medical-Surgical C5 - 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn).

Medical-Surgical B2C - General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only.

Special Requests:

No block scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling:

4 weekend shifts per sched (Sat/Sun)

Floating Requirements:

Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units

Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway)

Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses.

Floating to different units mid-shift can happen

Will float to: Tele B3A, Tele Neuro, Medical-Surgical C5, Medical-Surgical B2C

Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
