EisnerAmper is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Telecom team within our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. We are seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment and at providing clients with exceptional services.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

• Preparing and assisting others in the preparation of indirect tax returns, registrations, and telecom surcharge and fee filings

• Managing information related to telecom tax compliance

• Interacting with clients and managing staff

• Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues

• Managing registrations and business licenses for clients

• Interacting with other state and local tax professionals as well as other professionals at the firm

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field or 6+ years of relevant work experience

• 3+ years experience of telecom tax compliance

• Experience working with Telecommunications clients

• Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.

• Experience with tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of relevant state and local legislative updates, court cases, announcements, and authorities

• Experience with communications tax and regulatory compliance

• Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and maintains the highest level of confidentiality

• CPA or CMI (sales tax) designation
