This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As an Integration Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in the New Glenn Rocket program, collaborating with a skilled team to design, develop, and qualify mission-critical avionics hardware, enabling reliable and reusable spaceflight to advance our vision of millions living and working in space.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test equipment and test environments for mission and safety-critical spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of verifying embedded avionics systems that monitor and control subsystems on human capable orbital spacecraft.

Responsibilities:

• Order and track parts and materials for avionics hardware and test assemblies using an inventory tracking database
• Kit materials for avionics hardware and test assemblies and prioritize material transfers between storage, assembly areas and laboratories
• Assemble avionics electrical and mechanical systems per engineering drawings
• Build, test and rework cable assemblies
• Perform checkout and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies
• Load software and drivers onto computers and instruments
• Update avionics documentation and drawings using CREO/Windchill
• Support integration of flight avionics, support equipment, control consoles, and communication hardware
• Support circuit/component, card and box level avionics hardware testing (including functional and environmental testing)
• Maintain avionics hardware calibration schedule, organize calibration activities and transfer calibrated hardware to-and-from outside calibration labs
• Ability to lift 40 lbs; work in adverse weather conditions; climb stairs and ladders

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology
• 4+ years of industry experience integrating and testing electronic circuit cards and assemblies
• Experience building and testing electrical harnesses; including assembly, crimping and soldering in accordance with (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001, or equivalent)
• Experience integrating and testing avionics or complex electronics; including circuit card assembly, soldering and rework in accordance with above standards
• Familiarity with standard electronic lab test and troubleshooting equipment (e.g. Digital multi-meter, power supply, oscilloscopes)
• Working knowledge of electronic circuits; and ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures
• Highly organized, safety and quality conscious, team player with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using 3D CAD tools (CREO or similar) to support harness and test fixture development and assembly.
• Certification for Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies (IPC-7711B/7721B, or equivalent)
• Basic computer and networking skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)

Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $35.52-$49.73. Other site ranges may differ.
