Job Description

This position is responsible for patient care/service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department. Techs working with IVs must have successfully completed an IV course.
• Experience: ER Tech/Phlebotomist experience preferred.
• License/Certification: Current BLS Certification required. Approved Crisis Management Course required. Certificate of completion of basic cardiac arrhythmia course preferred. Certified Phlebotomist preferred. IV Certification preferred.
• Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
