LHH is working with a prominent investment management firm on a Corporate Senior Tax Manager (or above) search. You will lead a team to provide tax planning strategies for clients and prospects of the firm. This position has the option of joining as department head or a quick trajectory up to department head/Director depending on relevant experience.

This position requires a CPA and several years of prior tax planning & preparation experience. Prior public accounting is a plus. The company consistently provides competitive salaries, benefits, and a friendly atmosphere & positive culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop proactive tax planning strategies for clients
• Conduct in-depth tax projections
• Serve as final partner reviewer on individual and business returns prepared by staff or outside partners
• Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices
• Assist with training and mentoring for new hires and junior team members
• Stay current in tax areas by attending professional development and continuing education sessions

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master's preferred
• 6+ years of experience in tax preparation (individual and business) and progressive tax planning and advisory
• CPA or Enrolled Agent License Required
• Prior public accounting highly preferred
