Systems Engineer

MANTECH seeks a Systems Engineer to help support our current Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager Intelligence & Cyber Operations Contract in Stafford, VA . The Systems Engineer will support research and development, acquisition, and sustainment of innovative cyberspace systems in executing engineering tasks throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Provide technical expertise in research and development of state-of-the-art/state-of-the-market hardware and software solutions to satisfy existing, new, and emerging requirements.

  n

  Acquisition support consisting of the development of technical requirements for requests for information and formal solicitations.

  n
n
• n

  Assist with rapid technology insertion opportunities into system end items for improvements and reduction in cost and/or performance enhancements.

  n
n
• n

  Provide subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices.

  n
n
• n

  Interface with the Program Office to manage engineering tasks that enhance system performance and allow interoperability between Marine Corps and other DoD IC intelligence systems/capabilities.

  n

• n

  Analyze technical problems encountered with fielded or developmental systems; develop courses of action and present recommendations to leadership.

  n
n
• n

  Develop and/or modify plans, architectures, frameworks, policies, procedures, manuals, guides, or strategy documentation. Review program criteria and prepare briefing materials.

• n

  Perform and develop assessments, analyses, studies, reports, reviews, estimates, surveys, or investigations related to science and technology efforts.

  n

Minimum Qualifications:

n
• n

  Bachelors Degree and at least 10 years of related experience supporting acquisition programs in Systems Engineering to include the following: ( Additional 2 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree)

  n

• n

  Strong technical background in information systems, networking, and employment of information systems.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with the developing prototypes to address new or emerging needs/requirements.

  n
n
• n

  Proven ability to mature technical solutions

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Systems Integration and Testing to verify required performance.

  n
n
• n

  Assessment of change proposals for technical merit.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with navigating and applying the DoD 5000.2, Acquisition framework.

  n
n

Preferred Qualifications:

n
• n

  Knowledge of DoD/USMC garrison and tactical environments.

  n
n
• n

  DAWIA Level III Engineer Certification

  n
n
• n

  Prior military intelligence experience (enlisted or officer)

  n
n

Clearance Required :

n
• Active Top Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
n
