Technical Leader For Amazon Dedicated Cloud Team

AWS established a specialized group of service teams dedicated to building Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) environments for the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are seeking a motivated technical leader to own and grow a team of highly skilled Technical Engineers, who will deploy and operate EC2 Services for critical workloads in the ADC regions. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Owning and growing a team of skilled Engineers providing development and operational support for critical software infrastructure components upon which internal and external customers rely.
• Managing hiring and developing the best talent for this team, maintaining a high bar consistent with Amazon Leadership Principles.
• Quickly adapting to new development environments and changing business requirements, learning new systems, and finding creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems when required.
• Leading in hiring quality personnel who fit the needs of the current organization and allow the team to scale with platform and service growth.
• Driving operational excellence in everything, creating processes and procedures, then automating them to improve efficiency in day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Advising and coaching the team through challenges to drive continuous improvement for customers.
• Developing and driving the organizations strategy, including mentorship and development of engineers and their ability to drive delivery and results.
