Surgical Technologist Specialist

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is based on relevant experience.

Overview: Join our dedicated team to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures!

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare the surgical environment with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment and instruments are in good working order.
• Assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients for surgery.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgical procedures and keep track of instruments and supplies throughout the surgery.
• Receive and process specimens for laboratory delivery.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and make decisive judgments while working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED or military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration required.
• Minimum of 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or a graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required before start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid for at least sixty days after hire.
