Surgical Technologist

Adecco Healthcare & Life Science is hiring a Surgical Technologist ! This role is in Houston, TX and is an onsite role. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
Type: Two - month contract with opportunity for extension or full time offer
Schedule: 6:30AM - 3:00PM Monday - Friday
Pay: $30 - $32.75 per hour based on experience
Notes: Have to be open to traveling to multiple locations in Houston and Spring, TX
Responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist:
• Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.
• Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure.
• Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon.
• Assists in room turn over and are responsible for instrument decontamination.
• Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups.
• This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
Qualifications for the Surgical Technologist:
• Surgical Technician Certificate
• BLS Certificate
• Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES
• 2-3 years minimum experience as a surgical technician in an ambulatory or acute care setting
• Multiple service line experience: plastic, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, etc.
