Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:
Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
Accountable for selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
Perform as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Requires call with a 20-minute response time.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
National Surgical Tech license for Certified ONLY (upon hire).
Surgical Sterile Technique knowledge.

Job Preferred Requirements:

1 year of Surgical Tech experience.
