Surgical Technologist - Competitive Hourly Rate

About the Role: As a Surgical Technologist, you will work closely with the surgical team to ensure patients receive exceptional care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your expertise in surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment will be vital to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assessment, planning, and execution of patient care in surgical settings.
• Utilize supplies, equipment, and instruments effectively and safely.
• Adhere to strict aseptic techniques during procedures and equipment processing.
• Show capability in assisting with various surgical procedures.
• Understand health and safety policies, regulatory requirements, and departmental protocols.
• Practice Universal Precautions diligently.
• Participate in identifying areas for improvement in care delivery.
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests from patients and staff.
• Exercise sound judgment when consulting with nurses or other medical staff.
• Maintain composure in emergencies and apply ACLS guidelines as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to select appropriate supplies and instruments for surgeries.
• Protect patients' health information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration (ST).
• Current AHA/BLS Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting or busy multi-specialty ASC.
