Surgical Technician PRN - Labor & Delivery

Schedule: Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech, PRN as needed, schedule and shift vary, requires call.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, required.

• Completion of a formal Surgical Technologist program or comparable previous surgical technology experience.

• Scrubbing experience obtained either through completion of a formal surgical technology program or previous scrub experience, preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting Physicians during procedures by having all instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for surgical procedures.

• The primary focus of this position is that of scrubbing in procedures and passing instruments to the Surgeon.

• The Surgical Technologist may act as second assistant when required to do so.

• The Surgical Technologist may participate in precepting of other Surgical Technologists.
