Surgical Technician

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital North, US:CO:Colorado Springs

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary: Join our dedicated team to support safe and efficient surgical procedures while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with all necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment and instruments are in proper working order. Assist with the preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and maintain oversight of instruments and supplies throughout the procedure.
• Receive and process specimens for laboratory delivery.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment skills, working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED or Military training.
• Required Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration, Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
