Surgical Support Assistant

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Evenings

Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is based on relevant experience.

Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Surgical Support Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to perioperative patients. You will ensure a smooth flow of patient care and maintain cleanliness and safety in the surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgical procedures.
• Restock linens and medical supplies efficiently.
• Assist in the transportation and preparation of patients.
• Handle the transport of blood products and specimens as needed.
• Support the Perioperative team with various tasks to enhance patient care.
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or satisfactory completion of a basic competency test administered by UCHealth.
• Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Preferred: Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum Experience: No prior experience required.
