Department: Surgical Progressive Care

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Day and Night Rotation.
* Requires the ability to work both day shift and night shift

Pay: $19.10 - $24.83/hour (based on relevant experience)

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.

As a Patient Care Assistant in the Surgical Progressive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient lives through direct support and care. Here’s what you can expect:

• Provide essential patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.

• Assist in precepting newcomers in the healthcare field, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Your Responsibilities as a PCA:

• Perform direct care tasks, which include gathering vital signs, measuring blood glucose levels, and monitoring intake and output.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, daily activities, and mobility support.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of care areas, ensuring they are stocked and ready for use.
