The Division of Surgical Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute, within the Department of Surgery, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System, is recruiting at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank for an academically oriented Surgical Oncologist. We are searching for a candidate with strong interest in Gastrointestinal Oncology to work in our busy and well-established multidisciplinary program. The position will report to the Division Chief of Surgical Oncology, at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. The academic appointment will be within the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and located in New Brunswick, NJ. Faculty members are expected to support the educational goals of the school, engaging in teaching activities for medical students and residents, as well as delivering targeted lectures in their area of expertise. Academic rank is commensurate with experience. Rutgers Cancer Institute is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center; partnering with RWJBarnabas Health, it offers integrated oncology care with access to advanced diagnostic and treatment options, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, proton therapy, precision medicine, CAR T-cell therapy, and cardio-oncology. Responsibilities

• Engage in teaching activities for medical students and residents and deliver targeted lectures in the area of GI Oncology.
• Collaborate within a busy, multi-disciplinary Surgical Oncology program and contribute to academic activities and clinical programs as part of Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in Gastrointestinal Oncology.
• Academically oriented surgeon eligible for an Assistant or Associate Professor appointment; rank commensurate with experience.
• Role reports to the Division Chief of Surgical Oncology and is located in New Brunswick, NJ.
